  <mods:abstract>This article title "Naismith or Gulick" appeared in the Holyoke YMCA Bulletin in 1903. The article is in response to a caption under a photo of Dr. Luther Gulick, in the official rules of basketball, that states Dr. Gulick was the originator of basketball, not Dr. Naismith. The article clears up the confusion with a direct quote by Dr. Gulick stating that Dr. Naismith was the originator of the game of basketball.
