An advertisement for the Springfield Marine and Insurance Company that uses the famous "First Basketball Team" photograph. The photograph is of the early Secretarial Basketball Team in 1892 that included half of the men who first played the game of Basketball when Dr. James Naismith introduced the game in his class in 1891. The first paragraph explains how the game of basketball was originated by Dr. James Naismith. The second paragraph relates basketball to the insurance company stating the "like basketball, it was created in Springfield and is known around the world.".
