This piece, titled “The Reminiscences of James Naismith” is a short essay written by Dr. R. Tait McKenzie, about his experiences with Dr. James Naismith. This article also appears in folder 14 of the James Naismith Papers, but this version also contains a letter from Frank S. Lloyd of New York University talking about the document and the lecture that this came from. Dr. McKenzie gives a unique account of how Naismith impacted his life. As the best man for Naismith’s wedding, McKenzie is able to share insight from a personal perspective.
