The postcard shows a professor helping a student look through a microscope with the caption of "PRYING INTO THE UNKNOWN A LABORATORY SCENE AT SPRINGFIELD COLLEGE, SPRINGFIELD,MASS." The professor is Peter Karpovich, an innovative and premier sports physiology professor at Springfield College. For more information on Peter V. Karpovich, see: https://springfield.as.atlas-sys.com/agents/people/571. Postcard dated Feb. 17, 1942; written by Karpovich to Mrs. A. Renfroe in Brady, Texas. " Dear Mrs. Renfroe, Greetings from Fort Worth. I hope that your throat is better now and you can resume your singing lessons. I found my old student here and he of all things engaged for me a suit of two rooms worth insisting that I should be his guest. What could I do? I accepted. Give my regards to Sheriff Gallaway and his aid and also to Myrtle. Sincerely, P.V.K."; the postcard does not contain a stamp and appears to have never been sent.</mods:abstract>
