An article titled "They don't kill the losers anymore," published in the Springfield Magazine (Vol. 1 No. 3) in January, 1991. The article was written by Robert D. Chadbourne and appeared on page 26. The article describes the creation of basketball by Naismith giving a nod to the Meso-American game of Tlachtli in which the losers were striped of clothing and promptly sacrificed. The entire magazine was not digitized with only the cover, the table of contents page and the one page article being digitized so that researchers could see where it came from.
