This is a two-page letter from Wilbert E. Locklin, the President of Springfield College, to the Co-ordinator of the Seminar on the Management and Interpretation of History Museums dated August 20, 1971. The letter is in support of Francis R. Carpenter's application to this organization for support (the exact type of support is not outlined) of the Museum of American China Trade, now the Forbes House Museum in Milton Massachusetts. Carpenter was the Associate Director at the time.
