  <mods:abstract>This is 16mm black and white film that shows the 1963 Springfield College baseball team at practice. The film is almost three minutes long. The players are not wearing uniforms, but are dressed casually, in fact there was one batter wearing a Springfield College "one striper" shirt. The film begins with a left handed pitcher warming up on the mound, and is followed by numerous players taking batting practice at home plate. The film then shifts back to the same pitcher throwing the baseball, perhaps showing that he is one pitching to the hitters. The pitcher then throws the baseball to second base because of a leading baserunner, leading to the baserunner being trapped in a pickle between first and second base and him being tagged out. The film briefly shows two other batters before a different right handed pitcher is shown warming up by throwing pitches to home plate. The sticker on the film reel says "Pitching Robyns, Moynka Hitting". It is unclear if these are the names of some of the players in the video.
