  <mods:abstract>This photograph shows the Springfield College (then known as International YMCA College) marching band. Members of the band are holding their musical instruments and marching with a United States flag and a Marine Corps flag on the back of the band. There is also a sign behind the flags but the words on it cannot be made out clearly. A red cross and some vehicles can be seen in the background. This photograph was probably taken during the annual blood drive event during World War II.</mods:abstract>
