  <mods:abstract>The photograph shows the members of the 1921-1922 varsity team at Springfield College posing together for a photo. Seven members of the team kneel in the first row and there are nine people standing in the back row including the team's coach who stands directly in the middle with four people located on each side of him. The team's coach was George Affleck. William B. Chase, the captain of the team, stands directly next to Affleck on the left side of him holding a ball in his hand. The 1922 season finished with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss in Affleck's 10th season as Head coach. The single loss of the season came against Harvard, with a final score of 4-2. Affleck went on to coach for 6 more seasons, before ending his 16 season coaching career with an overall record of 65 wins, 21 losses, and 14 ties, a winning percentage of .720.</mods:abstract>
