  <mods:abstract>A newspaper clipping of an article about Springfield College suspending 50 Black students published in the Record American on March 13, 1970. The AP article talks about the punishment that Springfield College allocated for the Black students were took over Massasoit Hall. The clipping has notes written on it in blue pen for President Wilbert Locklin. The clipping was mailed to him. The author of the notes is not identified. The handwritten notes say, from top to bottom, "Now they can 'Protest' - to a jury that has power", Jury_Power_", "Jail them!!", "[illegible] goal course in Educational Civics - I", "to President Locklin, Good for you!! Throw them out and keep them out - and protect the rights of the ones to their own rooms - They are Hoodlums with a Haven and give excuses for Anarchy - Get them Indicted &amp; protest to a jury."</mods:abstract>
