Edward S. Steitz, the director of athletics at Springfield College, wrote this letter to Eugene Wettstone on May 25, 1967. Eugene Wettstone served on the NCAA Gymnastic Rules Committee and was also the gymnastics coach at the Pennsylvania State University. Coach Steitz wrote on behalf of Springfield College in the hopes that the school would be chosen to host the 1968 College Division NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships.
