This map shows the route taken by the 1966-1967 Springfield College Exhibition Team to Southern Florida for their pre-Christmas tour. There are seven numbered dots along the route, likely indicating places the team was scheduled to perform. In past seasons, the team performed throughout New England, Pennsylvania, and the Atlantic coast cities. Fifteen women and twenty-five men participated on this trip, which was organized by Coach Frank Wolcott and Coach Diane Potter. Their two major shows in the Miama area were at the Miami coral Park High School and the Miami-Dade Junior College. The shows included exercises on the side horse, parallel bars, uneven bars, rings, horizontal bar, and balance beam. Added to this was a “triple hand balancing combo,” trampoline exercises, dance numbers, comedy acts, and Tableaux.
