This undated black-and-white photograph shows the winner’s podium for the balance beam competition at the New England Gymnastic Championships. Kathy Corrigan is pictured on the left. The woman standing in the center of the photograph is identified on the back, but the handwriting is illegible. Corrigan (class of 1966) was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1992 and competed in the 1964 Olympic Games. During her senior year, she was captain of the gymnastics team and competed on the exhibition team. She was the first woman inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame. Corrigan won gold at the Pan-American Games and spent three years on the USA gymnastics team. She earned her masters of education from Penn State in 1968.
