This photograph shows members of the Springfield College women's gymnastics team appearing on Channel 22 (WWLP) Tom Colton's "Highlights" show. Seated are Tom Colton and Coach Mimi Murray (’61). We believe that the names of the gymnasts standing behind them, left to right, are Judy Markell (’72), Katherine R. Rafferty (’72), Patti C. Corrigan (’72), Nancy J. Schultz (’72), with the last gymnast unidentified at this time. During the 1969-1970 season, the team went 7-0. That year, Lucy Miller won All-American for the beam and Patti Corrigan won All-American for the vault, beam, bars, and all-around. Coach Mimi Murray led the women’s gymnastics team to an undefeated 37-0 record for all six seasons she coached. Tom Colton was an anchor at WWLP, the NBC-affiliated television station for the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. The station’s call letters are the founder’s initials: William Lowell Putnam.
