- Description:
-
The collage shows pictures of the numerous Springfield College alumni working with YMCAs world-wide. The alumni are divided into eleven sections based on geography: Latin America, Philippines, Japan, Near East and Africa, Hawaii, Europe, Australia, Korea, China, India, and international students working in North America. In the center is a photograph of the 1931 Cosmopolitan Club. This collage can also be found on the electronic version of the Springfield College Bulletin February, 1932, page 5 here: http://cdm16122.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/ref/collection/p16122coll3/id/10412 There is another copy of this poster that has a caption on the bottom: http://cdm16122.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/singleitem/collection/p15370coll2/id/10332/rec/1. The Springfield College Bulletin originally published this collage as a supplement in their February 1932 issue, but it was later turned into the full-sized poster seen here. The Cosmopolitan Club, the original name for Springfield College's International Students Organization, was formed in 1921, although international students attended Springfield College well before then.
