  <mods:abstract>James A. Naismith wrote this letter to George O. Draper, Springfield College’s alumni secretary, on June 3, 1937. He says that he plans to reach Springfield around June 10, and that he is bringing a friend who is the family’s official photographer. Naismith enclosed a check with the letter and writes that he plans to bring “some other things” for the school. He mentions the death of his wife and expresses excitement at the prospect of seeing his classmates.
