George O. Draper, Springfield College’s alumni secretary, wrote this letter to James A. Naismith on June 17, 1935. Draper thanks Naismith for attending the college’s Golden Jubilee Commencement and asks him to send the original rules of basketball to Springfield College so they can be “properly mounted for display on the walls of our College Library.” Draper also asks for any pictures of Naismith’s early activities that he no longer wants.
