This lantern slide, “William B. Durand (Class of 1895) and Amos A. Stagg (Class of 1891),” shows two framed portraits: (left) William B. Durand and (right) Amos Alonzo Stagg. Training School (now known as Springfield College), Durand served as the Physical Director at the Y.M.C.A. in Westfield, Massachusetts. From 1896 until 1899, he served in the same capacity at the Buffalo, New York Y.M.C.A. During 1900, Durand was Physical Director at the Charlestown Branch Y.M.C.A. in Boston, Massachusetts, and from 1901 until 1907, he was the Physical Director at the Salem, Massachusetts facility.
