This document is the 1964 edition of the Springfield College Women’s Athletic Association Constitution. This edition has eleven articles that describe the name, purpose, membership, officer duties, election, awards, intramurals, the All-Star Team, the All-Springfield Team, intercollegiate sports, and how to make amendments. While the formatting differs from the original, the content remains largely unchanged. The position of Intercollegiate Chairman was created, and a section was added addressing the duties of the vice-president. The Publicity Manager position was eliminated, and there were minor changes made to the duties of the secretary, the class representatives, and the sports managers. A few minor details of the election process were changed, and there are new articles discussing intramurals, the All-Star Team, the All-Springfield Team, and intercollegiate sports. Articles dedicated to meetings, dues, annual functions, tournaments, and sports clubs were eliminated. The awards section is significantly shorter and contains a much-abbreviated point system. The purpose of the Springfield College Women’s Athletic Association is to promote and conduct an extracurricular sports program for women in accordance with the highest ideals in women’s sports and to promote interest in athletics and good sportsmanship.
