<mods:abstract>This photograph shows Dr. C. Lynn Vendien posing with a bicycle on a road surrounded by trees. In the photograph, Vendien is wearing a skirt, a shirt and a cardigan. Her right foot is on the pedal, her left foot on the ground, and she is smiling at the camera. Something looks like a bag can be seen on the backseat of the bicycle. The back of the photograph has a stamp that says "This is a KODACOLOR PRINT made by Kodak," below which says "OCTOBER 1960," suggesting the photograph was printed in 1960. Dr. C. Lynn Vendien was a professor of physical education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a leader in international and comparative physical education.</mods:abstract>
