Description:
This is a two-page letter written by Mr. and Mrs. William Dover to Wilbert E. Locklin, President of Springfield College. The letter is dated march 28, 1970. In the letter the Dovers speak on behalf of their son, John D. Dover (Class of 1971), regarding the college's treatment of their son and other Black students as a result of their protests for Black Rights on campus. In particular they try to get the hearings on the punishments to be scheduled as a group and held over the weekend so that parents could attend.
