Response to Disciplinary Action taken against Massasoit and Administration Building Holdings (ca. 1970)
Description:
The photo shows what appears to be some sort of plaque. The plaque was created in response to two building takeovers that occurred on campus in 1969 and 1970 due to the fact that the African Americans felt they had been unfairly prejudiced against. The document here shows a group of people supporting this takeover that occurred, as the document explains how all of the people who signed it are against any disciplinary action being taken against the students who took over the two buildings. Secondly, these people have all agreed to fast until the charges are dropped. Many names have signed the plaque on the bottom in order to fight back against this injustice.
