This letter is from Calvin J. Martin, alumni secretary at Springfield College, to Norman Weller, George Weller's son, dated May 24, 1956. The letter talks about that George Weller died on February 11, 1956, and that his life would be recognized. A vote card for the Alumni Association is attached to the letter. George R. Weller is a member of Class 1892 of Springfield College (then known as International YMCA Training School). While at the school, he was one of the first men to play the game of basketball, being part of the class that James Naismith developed the game for! After graduation, he was involved in Christian businesses, a fruit growing business, and with the City Engineering Department of Los Angeles, California. Weller died February 11, 1956.
