A portrait photograph of Elizabeth Halsey. Elizabeth Halsey was Director of the Women’s Physical Education Department at the University of Iowa from 1924-1956. Halsey Hall was named in her honor. She wrote many books including "Women in Physical Education: Their Role in Work, Home, and History", "Physical Education for Children", and "Inquiry and Invention in Physical Education".
