  <mods:abstract>This is a portrait of Springfield College alumnus William B. Durand (class of 1895), who was a member of the football team. During his senior year at the International Y.M.C.A. Training School (now known as Springfield College), Durand served as the Physical Director at the Y.M.C.A. in Westfield, Massachusetts. From 1896 until 1899, he served in the same capacity at the Buffalo, New York Y.M.C.A. During 1900, Durand was Physical Director at the Charlestown Branch Y.M.C.A. in Boston, Massachusetts, and from 1901 until 1907, he was the Physical Director at the Salem, Massachusetts facility. Durand died August 10, 1939.</mods:abstract>
