A four-page letter from Elizabeth M. Jerome to Laurence L. Doggett dated June 3rd, 1919. In this letter, Jerome informs Doggett that she will not be present at Springfield College's Commencement dinner. Gilbert N. Jerome was a student at Springfield College in 1912 and graduated in 1914. He then became a Scout Executive in 1915 for the New Haven Council Boy Scouts of America and later became an pilot and fought in world war 1. He died on July 11, 1918 at the battle of Belmont in France.
