  <mods:abstract>This photograph was taken on March 11, 1970 and shows six unidentified Springfield College Black students inside Massasoit Hall talking and reading. They all seem to be located in the basement lounge area of the dormitory. The student in the front of the camera (with an afro) is seen opening up a magazine article and showing to the others. It is believed that this photograph was used in Springfield Union newspaper articles on the Black students involvement in the Springfield College Massasoit Hall takeover. Handwritten on the back is "S.C. Massasoit Hall.". Handwritten on the back is "S.C. Massasoit Hall.";</mods:abstract>
