A photograph that appeared in the Daily News on October 20, 1980. The photograph was taken by Kevin Twombly. It shows Becky Zettl, the daughter of Herbert Zettl, head coach of the Springfield College Women's Varsity Soccer team, underneath an umbrella being held by Laurie Restino on the sideline of the soccer field during their teams game against the University of Massachusetts. There is a balloon that has drooped to the ground before her. These materials come from Coach Herbert Zettl's personal materials. In 2021, Coach Zettl graciously allowed the Archives to digitize and create facsimiles of materials to use in an exhibit. Facsimiles were created of each item and placed in a folder in the Soccer Team Records. Originals are still with Coach Zettl.
