A newspaper clipping showing Leslie Mann and "Rabbit" Maranville, ca. 1928. They are standing on a baseball field. Maranville is in his St. Louis Cardinal's uniform. The caption below the picture reads, "Leslie Mann of the Giants and "Rabbit" Maranville, sole survivors now in Major League Uniform, of the famous Boston Braves of 1914. Maranville has at least one World's record to his credit. He played in two world's series in his career and each was decided in four straight games. In one he was with the winning combination, in the other with losers. But it was no fault of Maranville's that the Cardinals fell by the wayside. He fielded brilliantly and hit over .300. Had his team-mates done the same there might have been a different ending to a drab episode.".
