A certificate of completion of the general course given by the Formosa Island YMCA, dated November 20, 1919. The document was signed by the honorary secretary of the Japanese YMCA and honorary advisor of the Athletic Association of Japan, instructor Masaji Nishimura. Formosa Island, currently known as Taiwan, was under Japanese rule between 1895 and 1945. Translation comes from a slip of paper that was rolled up with the original certificate. No further translation or confirmation of translation was done at time of digitization.
