This is the application for admissions to the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, completed by George E. Day (Class of 1893). The application is dated May 22, 1891. It includes biographical, religious, past employment, and other related information. George E. Day is a member of Class 1893 of Springfield College (then known as International YMCA Training School). He was born in North Dana. Mass., September 21, 1864. He was a student at Harvard University, 1908-09. After graduating from Springfield College, he worked as general secretary for Y.M.C.A. at Lynn, Mass., Syracuse, N.Y., Malden, Mass., and Somerville, Mass. He is a frequent contributor to the newspapers and periodicals. He published one novel, A Wilderness Cry; and a volume of poems, Wild Rose and Thistle. He is a member of the Congregational church. He was married to Nettie Mabel Fisher and had three children. He died on November 1, 1919.
