A handwritten letter from Reiko Ishii to Dr. A. A. Kidess, administrative Vice President and foreign student advisor of Springfield College, dated February 6, 1963. Miss Reiko, originally from Ikimacho Nara, Japan, received a Master in Recreation and Youth Leadership from Springfield College in 1964. In the letter, Miss Reiko describes the paperwork she is doing to be able to come study to the US. She mentions she was invited as a staffer at Camp Wawenock, and she also was accepted at the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan. She also informs Dr. Kidess that she is not able to get the visa paperwork done without an official letter of admission from Springfield College. For more information on Attallah A. Kidess, see: https://springfield.as.atlas-sys.com/agents/people/579. A handwritten note with a red pencil can be found on the document stating “let me see her folder please”. It is believed it is a note written by Dr. Kidess to her assistant.
