An aerial photograph of Springfield College taken in 1947. Pratt Field is seen where the school's current Blake Track is located. Also seen is the Barry-Allen Baseball Field and the Memorial Field house. Memorial Field house is actually being constructed in this picture. In between the field house and Pratt field are some houses. Beyond the field house are the post-world war II housing built for Springfield College students and their families, many of whom were returning GIs using the GI bill. Alden Street as well as various other buildings and Lake Massasoit are also in this photo.
