<mods:abstract>This is a recording of a banquet honoring Leslie J. Judd, long-time Springfield College Faculty member and coach of the men's gymnastics team. The dinner took place on November 5, 1969. The tape is two sided. The first side starts with choral performance. There are many different speakers who tell stories about Leslie Judd, the Gymnastics team, and the many gymnastics exhibition trips. On the second side is coach Leslie Judd thanking everyone. Throughout the recording there are musical interludes. Many of the speakers are hard to hear due to the recording. For biography of Leslie J. Judd, see: https://springfield.as.atlas-sys.com/agents/people/84. Notes from digitization: "Intelligible/levels vary in spots" Written on a sheet of paper taped to the cover of the original box was the following, "Dr. Judd's Retirement banquet 11/5/69 Sc Singers - Gil Vickers"; Original Box was not kept for preservation reasons. Slip of paper taped to front was removed and kept in folder with original reel;</mods:abstract>
