A photograph of Tom Willerson, a Springfield College Baseball player pitching during a game, ca. 1981. In the photograph Tom is preparing to throw the pitch. He is wearing a Springfield College baseball shirt with number 10 on it. One of his teammates can be seen behind him. Tom Willerson is a member of class 1982, majored in physical education. He is regarded as one of the hardest throwing pitchers at Springfield College in recent years. In his junior year, he was named to the 1981 NCAA Division II All-District Team and drafted by the Toronto Blue Jay, but turned it down to finish his degree. After graduated from Springfield College, Tom Willerson was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 12th round and signed a one-year contract. He earned his M.Ed. degree in 1985 and ran the Westgate Chiropractic Clinic with his wife, Dr. Andrea Korda-Willerson, in Portland, Maine. On the back of the photograph, "SC-81-A28" was written in the corner, which probably means that the photograph was taken in 1981.
