The article is about the honorary degree given to Eli A. Finn by Springfield College 74 years after he was denied a degree at the school because he was Jewish. The school, known as the International YMCA College at the time, knew he was Jewish and according to the rules of the schools could not give him a degree, but thought that they might convert him. Eli Finn was 98 when they gave him the degree.
