<mods:abstract>Harold S. DeGroat wrote this book to introduce the history of Springfield College football from 1890 to 1936. Inside the book, there are photographs and introductions of important individuals in the history of Springfield College football, along with each year's team records and articles. Several pages at the end of the book are reserved for the future to record statistics and moments. Harold S. DeGroat is a member of class 1914. He played football when he studied at Springfield College and worked as the assistant coach for the football team after he came back as a faculty member. He also coached the Springfield College baseball team for 16 seasons from 1927 to 1942. During his coaching for the team, he had 139 wins and 118 losses.
