This is a photograph of Springfield College Professor, Eugene (Gene) Rich behind his desk. He is seated and has turned back to look at the camera. George Eugene Rich was a history professor at Springfield College from 1959 until his untimely death on February 23, 1983. He conducted the "Springfield College Seminar Abroad in Scotland" from 1965-1966 and helped to organize the college Core Curriculum during his time at the college.
