Springfield College Women's Gymnastic team meet video
Description:
This is a video of a Springfield College Women's Gymnastics team meet. The exact date or who Springfield College is in the meet with is not known. It was part of three Concord CV-2000 video reels that were kept together. Only one was marked saying "Reel A 1/25/69 Women's Gymnastics Penn State". It is believed that this tape was either created at the same time or is another reel from this match. The other videos in this series are rg162-03-e-01-13-001 & 002. The video is around 29 minutes long. The video is in very tough shape. The video begins with snow and there are portions of the tape that are fussy or drops out. The tape does have sound, though it too drops out or is hard to make out. The video begins with floor routines, moves to gymnasts performing leaps over the Horse and finishes with gymnasts performing on on the balance beam. The tape appears to have been used multiple times as the tape finishes with a taping of an interview between a man and woman. They are not identified. Technicitan who digitized the video wrote, "Tape opens with snow. High degree of tearing at the bottom of the picture. Few dropouts. Tape appears to have been used at least twice."
