  <mods:abstract>A serial newspaper article called Stray Bits written by Bill Hatch and dated January 29, 1955. The article appears to have little tidbits from the news, science, and history. In this article there are some tidbits about Groundhog's Day, weddings, election matchbooks, and the creation of the game of Basketball. The basketball section talks about Grace Naismith, his daughter-in-law who wrote an article about James Naismith for Sports Illustrated. In the article she talks about how Naismith did not think to put a hole in the hoop for the ball to fall through.
