Description:
A photograph believed to be taken on March 11, 1970 showing a group of Black student protestors involved in the Massasoit Hall takeover, leaving a courtroom with officers standing next to the door (two on the right and one on the left). The lettering at the top of the door states "Court Room." It is believed that this photograph was used in Springfield Union newspaper articles on the court proceedings for the Black students involved in the Springfield College Massasoit Hall takeover. Handwritten on back is "S. C. Massasoit Hall" and a stamp with "Photo by Frank C. Usin Springfield Union Mar 12, 1970". Circled handwriting includes "P-1", "Three Col", and "Negroes in Court"; The date of March 11, 1970 is used, but the stamp says March 12, 1970 as it is believed that the March 11, 1970 is more accurate.;
