<mods:abstract>This is a black and white photograph of a portrait of Robert Tait Mckenzie from 1936. He is sitting in a chair wearing a robe over a suit. A similar photo with color in it shows that the color of the robe is red and white and that McKenzie is wearing a black suit underneath the robe. He has a neutral facial expression. He is wearing glasses and he is partially bald. There is a small table to Mckenzie's left with a stack of books and a sculpture/statue. In the top right corner of the image is a name and date, but it is difficult to read. However, the back of the photo says that the portrait was painted by Maurice Molarsky, and this appears to be the name written on the front corner of the painting. Maurice Molarsky was an American painter who was born in 1885. Molarsky has sold paintings at auctions from pricing ranging from 150 dollars to 18,750 dollars, and appears to be a very skilled and talented painter who has created a wide variety of paintings. For more information on R. Tait Mckenzie, see: https://springfield.as.atlas-sys.com/agents/people/720. Handwritten on back is "Return to: Andrew Kozai / Suite 800, Andy HOlt Tower / The Univ. of Tennessee / Knoxville, Tn 37996; Typed on sticker on back of photograph is "McKenzie painted portrait in robes by Maurice Molansky.";</mods:abstract>
