This is a portrait photograph of John Storey, a Springfield College alumnus. In the photograph, he is wearing a suit and a clerical shirt with a tap collar. On the frame of the photograph, it says "John Storey, from 1906-1956", which probably means that he served the church from 1906, when he graduated from Springfield College (then known as International YMCA Training School), to 1956, when he retired. "Polyfoto" is also written on the frame, which probably suggests the creator of the photograph. John W. Storey was born in Dublin, Ireland, and graduated from the International YMCA Training School (now known as Springfield College) in 1906. He was the Boys’ Work Director of the Association in Yangon (Rangoon), Burma (Myanmar). He returned to Springfield, where he married his wife, in 1911. He then worked at various YMCAs in the US, before moving to Canada. He served churches in Canada before leaving for the UK where he was the Rector at Staplegrove for about 24 years.
