<mods:abstract>Clips of barefoot and foot gear experiment films done by Dr. Peter V. Karpovich, a Springfield College faculty member. As one of his many experiments, Dr. Karpovich invented a device for locating the center of gravity of footgear that was designed to test, with greater objectivity, the physiological and kinesiological merits of various types of military footgear to determine which types would offer maximum protection, have a more comfortable fit, and provide functional efficiency. The films show a man walking on a treadmill with various dots on his ankles and legs wearing clear footggear and no footgear. For more information on Peter V. Karpovich, see: https://springfield.as.atlas-sys.com/agents/people/571</mods:abstract>
