This is a photograph of Springfield College women's gymnastics team taken in 1969. The same photograph was used in a newspaper article and in the 1969 yearbook. The 1969 women's gymnastics team, coached by Dr. Mimi Murray, met their goal of winning the first women's national championship. They defeated the former champions from Southern Illinois University in the Nationals, which were held at Springfield College.
