  <mods:abstract>This data represents the foreign-born population living in the Greater Boston region. The data originates from the United States Census Bureau's American Community Survey. Downloaded from the Census data aggregator NHGIS, this dataset displays American Community Survey estimates (2016-2020) for foreign-born population by Census tract across the Greater Boston area, defined as all cities and towns in the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission's Inner Core Committee. 
 
 Field names in this dataset are opaque and can be parsed with the codebook.
